Terms of use
The agreement between you and 9NTY when you use the website, the community and the API.
In short: 9NTY is free to read and use. Be decent, follow the Community rules, only post what you have the right to post, and don't misuse the site. We can remove content or accounts that break these terms.
01 Agreement to these terms
These terms apply when you visit 9ntyapi.com (the "Site"), create an account, take part in the community, or use the 9NTY API. By using the Site you agree to these terms, together with the Community rules, the Privacy policy, the Legal notice and the Non-affiliation disclaimer. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.
02 Who we are
"9NTY", "we", "us" and "our" mean the person who runs 9ntyapi.com. 9NTY is run by an individual, not a company. "You" means anyone who uses the Site. We use service providers to host, secure and support the Site; see the Privacy policy.
03 Your account
- You must be 13 or older to register.
- Give a real email address you can access. It's never shown publicly.
- One account per person. Accounts are personal and can't be sold, traded or shared.
- Keep your password safe. We strongly recommend turning on two-factor sign-in.
- You're responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
- You can delete your account at any time from your account page.
04 Your content
"Content" means anything you post or send: threads, posts, messages, profile details, pictures, reputation comments and so on.
- You keep ownership of your content.
- You give 9NTY a free, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, store, display and share your public content on the Site, for as long as it's on the Site. This is only so the Site can work.
- You confirm you have the right to post it, and that it doesn't break the law or anyone else's rights.
- When you delete your account, your threads, posts and messages are deleted with it.
05 Acceptable use
As well as the Community rules, you agree not to:
- buy, sell, trade or advertise Fortnite or other game accounts, V-Bucks or gift cards
- scam, phish, or collect other members' details
- post malware, cheats, hacks or anything that breaks Epic Games' terms
- post anything illegal, sexual, hateful or harmful, or anyone's personal information
- impersonate other people, creators, Epic Games or 9NTY staff
- scrape the Site heavily, get round rate limits, or try to break into or overload it
- create accounts automatically or run bots on member accounts
06 Our content and data
The Site's design, code, writing and the "9NTY" name and logo belong to 9NTY. You can link to and quote short parts of our stories with credit. Fortnite names, images and other game material belong to Epic Games and are shown for identification and news reporting; see the disclaimer.
07 The API
The 9NTY API is free to use, including in commercial projects, within its rate limit. Please credit 9NTY. We may change or pause endpoints, and we may block traffic that is attacking or overloading the Site. Normal use is never blocked.
08 Leaks and accuracy
We work hard to be accurate, and every story is labelled so you know how certain it is (see our Policy). Leaks come from game files and aren't release dates. Prices, dates and shop contents can change. Don't rely on the Site for anything important without checking the official source.
09 Third-party links and services
The Site links to other websites, such as Epic Games, X and data services. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content or policies.
10 Moderation, suspension and ending your account
We can edit, hide or remove content, and warn, suspend or ban accounts, that break these terms or the rules, or that put the Site or its members at risk. We'll usually tell you why. If you think we got it wrong, message us and we'll look again. You can stop using the Site and delete your account at any time.
11 No warranty
9NTY is a free fan project provided "as is". We don't promise it will always be available, error-free or up to date, and features may change or be removed.
12 Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, 9NTY isn't liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by other members' content, third-party sites, or relying on information on the Site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you're a consumer, your legal rights are not affected.
13 Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we'll tell members about important changes with a site notice. If you keep using the Site after a change, the new terms apply.
14 Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes go to the courts of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in another country, you keep any mandatory consumer protections and the right to bring a claim where you live. Before going to court, please contact us so we can try to sort it out.
