Community rules
Keep 9NTY a good place to talk Fortnite. These rules apply everywhere on the site: the forum, profiles, private messages and reputation comments.
Joining? By creating an account you agree to follow these rules. Please read them first. It takes five minutes.
01 Be respectful
Disagree with ideas, not people. No harassment, hate speech, threats, bullying or slurs, including in usernames, profile pictures and bios.
02 No scams, selling or trading accounts
Buying, selling or trading Fortnite accounts breaks Epic's terms and puts players at risk, so it's not allowed here in any form.
- Account selling, trading or "middleman" offers
- V-Bucks generators, "free skins" offers or giveaways that ask for sign-ins
- Phishing links or fake sign-in pages
- Cheats, hacks, exploits for unfair advantage, or stolen content
03 Keep it honest
Don't post fake leaks or edited images as real. If something is a rumour, say so. Use the right thread prefix (Leak, Rumour, Question and so on) so others know what they're reading.
04 No spam or self-promotion floods
Sharing your own content is fine when it adds to the conversation. Posting the same link everywhere, bumping threads with empty replies, or farming posts and reputation isn't.
05 Keep it safe for everyone
Fortnite players start young. No adult, sexual, gory or illegal content. Never share anyone's personal information: real names, addresses, phone numbers, school, photos or account details. That includes your own.
06 One account each, no impersonation
One account per person. Don't pretend to be another member, a creator, Epic Games or 9NTY staff. Staff always have a Staff or Owner badge on their profile.
07 Post in the right place
Pick the forum section that fits, search before posting a question, and keep threads on topic. Moderators may move or close threads to keep things tidy.
08 Private messages and reputation
The rules apply in private messages too. Reputation is for thanking people or warning others about real problems: negative reputation needs a reason, and trading or farming reputation isn't allowed.
09 What happens if you break them
- Content removedPosts that break a rule are hidden or deleted.
- WarningYou get a notification saying which rule and why.
- SuspensionRepeated or serious breaks lead to a temporary suspension.
- BanScams, threats, sharing personal information or other serious harm can lead to a permanent ban straight away.
10 Reporting
See something that breaks the rules? Use the Report button on the post or message. Reports go to the moderation team, and the person you report doesn't see who reported them.
9NTY is a fan site and isn't affiliated with Epic Games. Epic's own rules for Fortnite still apply to your Epic account.
