Where 9NTY's data comes from

Everything 9NTY shows comes from real data. We never make up leaks, prices or dates, and we never use AI-generated images.

Last updated 6 November 2026 3 min read

01 Our sources

Epic GamesItem Shop catalog, in-game news and notices, status.epicgames.com, @Fortnite and @FortniteStatus on X

Daily Item Shop, shop tabs and IDs, news, downtime and updates, hotfix announcements.

Fortnite's game filesRead from our own copy of the game with CUE4Parse, the library behind FModel

Leaks, sprites and their images, weapon stats, buffs and nerfs, quests, changed text, encrypted files, Epic's hotfix files.

fortnite-api.comCommunity Fortnite data service

Cosmetics, IDs, images, full shop history, new cosmetics, the map, decryption keys and passes.

fnbr.coItem Shop tracker

Cross-checking the Item Shop and prices, upcoming cosmetics.

uedb.devMappings file

The mappings file needed to read stats from the game files (the same one FModel uses).

02 How data reaches the site

  1. CollectedOur server checks each source on a schedule and saves what it finds.
  2. CheckedShop data is cross-checked between sources; game-file data is compared with the previous update to find what changed.
  3. ServedPages, our X posts and the free API all read the same saved data, so they always agree.

Images are copied once and served from 9ntyapi.com, so visitors never talk to other sites when they browse 9NTY.

03 How fresh it is

The Item Shop updates within a few minutes of the daily reset (midnight UTC: 00:00 UK time in winter, 01:00 in summer). Game-file data updates after each Fortnite update or hotfix. The API's status endpoint shows exactly when each data set last changed.

04 About leaks

Leaks are things found in the game files. They aren't confirmed release dates until Epic releases them. Our Leak tracker shows when each one actually came out.
