Corrections policy

What happens when we get something wrong, and how to tell us.

Last updated 6 November 2026 3 min read
Fixed openly

Every correction is shown on the story, with the date.

Fixed quickly

We aim to correct mistakes as soon as we confirm them.

Easy to report

Tell us on X or in the forum.

01 How we fix mistakes

When we get something wrong, we fix it openly. A correction is added to the story with the date, saying what was wrong and what's right. The story is then labelled Corrected.

We keep every earlier version of a story internally, so changes can always be checked.

02 Updates versus corrections

A story that moves on isn't a mistake. When Epic confirms a leak, or a release date changes, we add a dated update at the top instead of quietly rewriting the story.

03 Withdrawing a story

If something should never have been published, for example it was based on a fake leak, we withdraw it and leave a short note saying why.

04 Reporting a mistake

Spotted something wrong? Message us on X (@9nty_official), or post in the forum's Support section. Please include the story's link and what's wrong.
